CMCU will never email members requesting information about internet passwords.
The following precautions should be taken when accessing NetBanking via the internet:
- Protect the security of passwords;
- Use a password that is not a simple numeric sequence, or the same as your Membership number or date of birth;
- Change your password regularly;
- Always log into the NetBanking site via the www.cmcu.com.au website;
- Check the last login time and date when displayed on login;
- Check the Secure Certificate details by clicking the padlock on the bottom of the NetBanking screen;
- Do not use internet cafes or accessible kiosks to access the NetBanking site;
- Keep your PC system up to date with the latest virus scanner;
- Use a "firewall" to protect your computer from unauthorised access over the Internet if connecting via broadband
